Founder Steve Scott has been in the building industry in Colorado Springs since 1980, and is actively involved in the day-to-day operations of his company. From site selection to closing, Steve provides technical, aesthetic, and cost trade-off consultation during the entire building process. On-site several times a week, Steve takes great pride in maintaining the reputation of a company dedicated to customer satisfaction.
Steve has been an active member of the community since 1975. He was involved in the first National Sports Festival, numerous YMCA sustaining membership campaigns, healthcare for the indigent as a Board Member of Peak Vista, and several City Council appointed task forces. The Signature Homes Golf Tournament is an annual kick off event for the Empty Stocking Fund of the El Pomar Foundaiton. Steve’s integrity and moral compass is towards serving his customers. The Signature Homes motto is that we are not only building homes, but building relationships.
Steve’s past accomplishments include being the President of a Commercial and residential construction company during the 1980’s and being named 2003 Home Builder of the Year by the Colorado Springs Home Builders Association (HBA).

He regularly attends the National Custom Home Building Symposium and continuing education seminars on the home building process. Steve Scott and Scott Building were named “Home Builder of the Year” in 2003 by the Colorado Springs Home Builders Association (HBA).
